Interests

  • General

Playing pop music on my banjo or ukelele. Spinning Poi and Hooping. Kayaking in swamps. Rollerblading down to Barnegat Bay while looking for that big blue heron in my neighborhood. ....
  • Music

I mostly listen to my friend's CD's--Psychabilly, Hobo Pie, Scott Chaloupka, Matt Baldwin (Footwipe, Dunk and Hurl), Blue Sky Invention, Adam Brodsky, Mick Choder, Full Frontal Folk, Boris Garcia, the Woodticks. Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns are always a good time at the bar. While I love Old Time and Traditional music, I'd like to be known as the pop princess of the banjo.
  • Movies

FIGHT CLUB, The Fifth Element, Sin City, Bubble Boy, Twelve Monkeys, Spun, The Piano, did I mention Fight Club?
  • Television

Are you kidding? If I watched TV, I'd never play an instrument! My most creative students were TV free, and I have done well in following their example. If you're interested in self improvement, I'll be happy to come over and bash your television in with a sledgehammer to free your mind! (Why do you think they call it PROGRAMMING?)
  • Books

  • Heroes

That Swiss guy who was working as a night watchman at a Swiss bank in the 1990s--Christoph Meili. He came forward when he noticed that the bank was shredding the old account ledgers from the 1930's--basically the bank was trying to keep Holocaust survivors from being able to GET THE MONEY THAT THEY HAD DEPOSITED--thus literally stealing money from people who had managed to survive. And their evil plan was foiled by a security guard with integrity. What a superhero!

That's why they call him Fishboy.

My husband, Paul. That fish was released, by the way.

Also, I'm loving the new ink!  Very nice!
