.. .. ...... ...... Karl Weismantel is a Gainesville, FL based jazz guitarist and singer. He performs throughout North Florida and is presently promoting is 2008 CD 'In Hand'. Karl has been playing professionally since 1988 and has a B.A. in Jazz Studies from the University of North Florida and a Masters in Jazz Studies from Florida State University. A past resident of Miami, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Denton, he now lives in Gainesville, FL. His guitar playing is influenced by Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino while his understated vocal style is influenced by Sinatra. ..'In Hand' CDs are available at CD Baby... -
