Karmakult - the name is synonymous with Tantric Rock. The band officially changed name Oct 2007 as a reflection of the change in musical direction after the release of "The Art of Illusion" which includes compositions heavily influenced by Suresh's Indian cultural background. The name Karmakult embodies the essence of Indian/Eastern influence of the music. "Karma" in Hinduism, is the universal law of action and reaction and "kult" is derived from the word cult, which means a group.
You will hear a diverse range of instruments and influences at a Karmakult performance. It’s all rock, it’s great original songs, it’s a fusion of progressive rock with Middle Eastern, European and Asian cultural music that messes up your senses then forces your brain to adapt. The pulsations of Karmakult band will open your mind and ears to new possibilities in rock music.
Karmakult performances are in either electric or full acoustic mode, depending on the venue. Both types of performances offer a wholly unique experience of this band of which you will never forget.
