TheKarmaProject.org is a concept that started while thinking "What can I do to help?"
TheKarmaProject.org was created when the thought occurred to me that the internet is an extraordinary tool in which people from literally all over the world can come together, share ideas, thoughts, and friendships. It seemed to me it was not being used to its full potential where help and good deeds were concerned. I wanted to take this a step further and provide a place where people can come together and make a difference in others lives.
This is why I chose to use "Karma" for the bricks of this site. Using my interpretation of the ideals that word puts forward, which to me is simply, "What Goes Around, Comes Around," these words were chosen for the foundation of this "Project". I made sure to keep them in mind while thinking of how to steer this site’s concept, which is why I use that mantra for TheKarmaProject’s slogan
The idea of "What Goes Around, Comes Around" is to change people’s lives for the better, and in turn improving our own lives, as well. This could be done in a variety of ways:
1) Giving advice, having a friendly conversation, or engaging in debate on the site’s messageboard(KPB).
2)Contributing to the donations this site collects for the purpose of distributing throughout the community. These donations could go to people who come to the site asking for help, or to wherever this site’s community decides should receive them.
3) Pooling members of local communities together to host community-improving events like food drives, charity auctions, or anything else our members can think of.
4) Asking the site’s members to use their collective voices through email, phone calls, or petitions to companies, government officials, or any other organization, to emphasize the power of strength in numbers.
As said more information is just around the corner and this Project intends to do much more then what is outlined above. Just know the more all of you get involved the more we can do. Our strength relies on the collective enthusiasm of everyone that stops by.
So, please simply add this Myspace as a friend to easily check in on our progress, get involved when you feel the desire to do so, and help spread this desire of all of us to make this world a better place..Simply starting with a friendly hello here.
