Marching out of Upstate NY is Karma’s Army, and we are setting our sights on rock n’ roll enlightenment. Forget the fact that we've been featured on MetalEdge.com, internationally published (thanks Portugal!), and are frequent guests on the all the rock radio stations in New York's 518 Capital District. Forget the fact that we spend our time directly supporting bands like Cavo, Trapt, Tantric, Zo2, and Stephen Pearcy [RATT]. Forget that we matter. Instead, accept our thanks for stopping by and if you so desire to learn more there's a few more chunks of knowledge below...
BASIC TRAINING: [2004-2007]
We've been playing music together since we all met at state college in Oneonta, NY back around late 2003. After a few years of free beer and cover songs we decided to pick it up a bit. March of 2007 saw the release of our first full length album, the self-produced “Colors You Won’t Believe"--an album title that came from a chance encounter with a very uniquely intoxicated man on liquid legs claiming to be our "manager" and assuring us he was "in the army now." His words of wisdom were immortalized forever on the albums final cut, "Men of Steel." The album; written and recorded in the back of the now infamous Grand Street house where many of us called home would become the birth place of what now stands, stomps, rocks and leans in front of you right this very moment.
BOOT CAMP: [2007-2008]
Spring 2007. With college over and an all to monotonous working world to cope with we rented a rehearsal space just outside of Albany, NY where we continue to write and demo new material, playing live every chance we get. In April 2008 we recorded a 3 song EP consisting with acclaimed producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail) at Nada Recording in Orange County, NY. Forward we went, developing our sound and stepping up production. Landing spots on radio and TV shows and supporting Trapt and Stephen Pearcy (of RATT) on-stage only helped to further the drive.
THE INVASION: [2009-Present]
During the summer/fall of 2009 we hit the studio again, this time with the talented Tim Lynch and The Recording Company staff keeping an eye on things. The initial product of these sessions was the track "Fharmasea," a song that has gained the support of the 518, leading to supporting slots for national artists such as Cavo, Tantric, Sponge, and ZO2. Additional material from these sessions has and is being released constantly as well as other new media so stay tuned. Only time will tell what the future may hold, but remember---Work hard.
