This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.
Born in the age of big colorful hairstyles, mismatched converse, Hip Hop, and POP music on the rise. Karmel formulated her plot to open a whole new direction in the way music was approached in the industry.
As a child, Karmel's mother Catherine noticed a desire in Karmel to write some of the most unique and creatively expressed poetry she could have imagined from a 6 year old little girl. So, Catherine decided to start a life long tradition of buying Karmel a new notebook every Birthday, Christmas, and/or any other day that she saw a neat new notebook that Karmel might like to help develop her talent.
At the age of 8, Karmel's father Fred noticed a GREAT interest in her to learn instruments. So, he decided to buy her the first of many instruments she would own. It was a miniature Yamaha drum set for kids that was almost identical to his own set, but much smaller. Together with him she learned how to follow the tempo of music and to redirect it to create her own music.
On Karmel's 12th birthday she recieved a pearl white guitar that just enhanced her musical deliverance completely. The first song that she learned to play was, "Lean on Me." Destined to make the most noise attainable in a neighborhood setting, Karmel and her 4ft Bigsby amp spent countless hours wrecking the eardrums of all who surrounded. While writing poetry in her personnel journals her mother bought her every birthday, Christmas, and/or holiday, Karmel trained vocals for the best deliverance. Karmel continued to follow her dreams through all of her childhood, teen-adult, and adult life. Music and Poetry never left her side, and Karmel never left theirs.
By the age of 21 she finally recorded her first song on a Dell computer in the back room of a 2 bedroom trailer in Macon, Ga. The track was called Funky, which was first introduced on a radio show called "Pump it or Dump it ?" on 97.9 Wibb. She also went on to round up performances at local clubs like "Synergy", located on Cherry Street of Downtown Macon, The Ambiance, and Coasters. Through encouragement and a life long investment in her dreams from both parents make Karmel who she is today. And the rise of her true talent is still in the making as she combines rock, hip-hop, pop, R/B, and rap into one explosive delivery of diversity. She entitles herself as just an "Artist", and it fits her abilities to the fullist. The only way to truelly understand and appreciate what she has done is to check it out.
