Karmic is looking for audio, film, music industry & marketing interns for the Summer & Fall 2009/2010 semesters.
We offer internships in 3 areas:
Karmic Sound - In-house engineer interns gain experience to tackle any audio project that comes through our doors. Karmic Sound records, mixes, and masters artists as well as produces sound for other audio projects such as music videos, live concert footage, corporate training videos and more.
Karmic Music - Our production company actively solicits production deals with artists and bands for our recording studio to record, mix, and master. Aside from music production, we also solicit projects such as: music beds for radio ads, radio jingles, voice-overs, and music videos. Interns have the ability to work on these projects and will be able to add them to their demo reels.
Karmic Agency - Interns who want more experience in booking shows, artists, bands and promotions will act as agents contacting concert venues to host a variety of live events around the Boston area with the objective of expanding artist fan bases. We also raise money for charities, political awareness, and showcase bands signed to our agency.
Shifts are morning, afternoon and early evening hours on weekdays and weekends, but not exclusively. Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and working toward a degree related to audio, film, music business, advertising, or marketing.

Those musicians on the go with no time to lug around your gear will find this to be practical and reasonably priced. The space has a Full PA System, Drums, Bass amp, and Guitar amp.
The rehearsal space rental rate is:
$15 hr
$10 hr if booked one month in advance with a $100 deposit
