PAST:
Few bands can be credited with creating a legacy, however, extreme metal outfit KARNAK have done just that. For 16 years now KARNAK have been creating music that has become the sign for italian death metal standards.

Their fusion of technicality, groove and sheer unrelenting brutality, has become the identification for them. Albums such as Melodies of sperm composed, Perverted, and all other albums never pubblished but still alive in the underground have confirmed the searching a awesome sound for this band. And now, with the release of KARNAK’s Dismemberment, their unique heaviness continues innovation in the genre.

Formed in 1993, KARNAK released their two demo. Within years of its release came the interest of many record labels that wanted to claim stake to the first KARNAK full-length album.

The band chose to release their first album, entitled Perverted, in 1997. Perverted has been the first extreme metal’s most visible style for the italian scene at the time, Karnak combination of blasting grind-cord beats and metallic structures bring them to play outside Italy, along in the east Europe.

In 2000, Melodies of sperm composed was released by Twelfth Planet Records. Melodies of sperm composed brought KARNAK and one genre of death metal to a new echelon, taking the multiple languages of music and unifying them in an evocative, thundering chorus of extreme fusion death metal in all over the world.

After Melodies released the band started to write new material always with the idea to continue the work begun in the last years with Melodies. In 2002, the band released their third full-length album, Tutti i colori del buio.

Following the release of 2004’s Laboratorium album , KARNAK after the extreme research of music experimentation, thought to come back to the roots, to the brutal death metal.

In 2006, started the works for the new album Dismemberment. 3 years of hard work. Recorded at Music City Studio and mixed at Fear Studio (Ephel Duath, Gory Blister, etc...) in March 2009. The new album come back to the roots, 100% death metal / brutal death metal with always a 100%KARNAK sound.

Since 2006, KARNAK started a seriously live activity performing along Italy / and outside Italy, to promote their music. The groups return was a truly devastating display of technical extreme metal.
