About me:

I was born on the 5th of October 1976 in Mechelen, Belgium. *Started studying music at the age of 8 at the Music Conservatorium in Mechelen and chose percussion and later guitar and voice as my instruments. *Started playing in rockbands when 16 - started band 'Betterfood than Nothing'. *Won song writing competition with the song 'Wipe' *Played in samba band. *Studied Visual Arts in St.Lukas Brussel, secondary school. *Masters in Visual Arts Option Photography, College of St.Lukas Brussel. *Degree in teaching at College of St. Lukas Brussel. *Diploma with Bloso in teaching alpine ski *Travel reportage on the USA, 1999. *Exhibition of images USA in gallery in Mechelen and solo exhibition. *Travel reportage on Syria, 2000. *Exhibition of images Syria in Signal Arts Centre, Bray - Cork Vision Centre and Cahirciveen Community Centre. *Lived in Dublin for 1 year and a half - assisted several photographers.(2000) *Moved to Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry (2002) *Writing of story 'The Asphodel People' *Teaching of photography, working with newspaper. *Obtained a diploma in Youth and Community Work from UCC and a cert in Drug Awareness from FASA.(2004) *Co-ordinator of 'Stories of our childhood' booklet with the Active Retirement Group. *Body of work around 'The Convent' in Cahirciveen - photo's, drawings, paintings, poems, video - on display in the Cahirciveen library.(2005) *Currently self employed in photography, arts and music and teach, facilitate workshops and perform at gigs. *work with young people, children, elderly people, people with disabilities - music, teaching drums, workshops, photography...Clients include; primary school Castleisland, Coars N.S. Cahirciveen, secondary school Cahirciveen, Asana language school, Kerry School of Music, Cahirciveen Hospital, Fertha View Day Centre, Tig an Oileann - Valentia Island, KDYS, World Fleadh 2006, Samhlaiocht Tralee,... *our band 'Coney Joe' is doing well and you can contact me for gigs - blues, funk, latin, rock, world...we play at 'the Blind Piper', World Bodhran Festival 2007, 'Sol y Sombra','The Phoenix', Sneem Family Festival, Cahirciveen Celtic Festival, Crane Lane Theatre Cork, in the Lighthouse Cafe as part of the Turas, Belgium, Brittany...
