About me:
Karuna Devi is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx. Her work is strong on the 'hair scene' for over a decade.
She owns a 'Rockin' hair salon on the lower east side of Manhattan called 'Shampoo Avenue B'.

Devi, a master of two French techniques known as balayage & froissage, teases the hair and then highlights the excess allowing for a halo, soft effect finish.

Devi studied and worked both on and off stage in NYC as well as Tokyo and Osaka under Joel Warren of Warren-Tricomi Salon NYC, with Joe Blackwell of Dop Dop Salon in Soho, with Reynald Ricard, formerly of Jaques Dessange and Frederick Fekkai current owner of Red Market Salon NYC.
Karuna also took part in the research, development and introduction of Redken's exclusive 5th Ave color line here in the U.S. and Japan.
