Music - I sing a bit of rock, blues and country. I also love good wine, Margaritas and Cosmopolitans, good friends, good food, good conversation, kids, dogs, cats, computers, old movies, comedy and 49er football (RIP Bill Walsh). GO NINERS! Ah, well, maybe next year.
Music
Very eclectic tastes - you name it - I probably like some of it. Rock, metal, blues, country, jazz, Latin, alternative, R & B, soul, old Motown and a capella doo-wop, funk, reggae, even some opera and classical and....some Native American Indian and new age music especially - Robert Mirabal and Rare Tribal Mob - and, of course, following my own heritage...I love Irish and Celtic traditional and contemporary music!! My musical favorites include NEIL YOUNG, CARLOS SANTANA, Heart, Green Day, Creed, Nickelback, Seether, Audioslave, System of A Down, Ronnie James Dio, Aerosmith, Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley, Melissa Etheridge, Tracy Chapman, Joss Stone, Steve Winwood, Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Joni Mitchell, Cass Elliot, Nicolette Larson, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles, The Beatles, Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, Patti Smith, Jim Carroll, Triumph, Tesla and De Dannan (an Irish/Celtic traditional band featuring Mary Black and Dolores Keane). Locally I love the San Francisco live jam sessions - especially Regi Harvey's Sunday and Monday night jams at Skip's Tavern in San Francisco (www.skipstavern.com) and the Wednesday night Open Mic that has now been moved to Blondie's Bar and No Grill on Valencia St. in San Francisco - www.blondiesbar.com (this is Mike Fleming's Open Mic - formerly at the Canvas Cafe).
Movies
Dances With Wolves, Ray, Sideways, Casablanca, It's A Wonderful Life, Little Big Man, L.A. Confidential, Tortilla Soup, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Blazing Saddles, Silver Streak, Stir Crazy, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds or anything else with Adam Sandler - the man is wicked crazy!!!

Books
I like biographies - especially those written by people who have triumphed over adversity in some way. I love history, particularly Celtic History and culture. And I enjoy reading historical fiction - "Trinity" by Leon Uris is one of my favorite historical novels. And I like poetry - Everything from Edgar Allen Poe to the beat poets, Ferlighetti, Corso, Kandel - Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou.
Heroes
My husband Bruce, who fought valiantly against esophageal cancer, but lost his fight in 1996, James Kim of San Francisco who died of hypothermia in the Oregon woods while trying to save his wife and daughters, Richard and Mildred Loving (RIP) whose love & courage helped to strike down miscegenation laws in the US, Other heroes of course: Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, Cancer survivors and cancer victims, all the peacemakers and all the people in this world who stand up for what they believe in.

And for all of you out there who are hurtin' - for all of you out there who are down - and feel that you have finally hit the wall - here's a little inspiration - from a song called "Rock Bottom" - written and performed by Wynonna:
"Things are tough all over
But I've got good news
When you get down to nothing
You've got nothing to lose
Anyway, rock bottom is good solid ground
And a dead end street is just a place to turn around."
