It's happening very soon! One week from today, we'll be in full swing with Cedar City's 7th Annual Groovefest American Music Festival! We just wanted to make sure that you were aware of all the great entertainment on the main stage that includes the Friday June 27th performances by Nowhere Man & A Whiskey Girl (Willcox, Arizona), John Boy’s Mule (Park City, Utah), Breanna Paletta (Portland, Oregon), Pert’ Near Sandstone (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Moses Guest (Houston, Texas), Todd Wolfe (Easton, Pennsylvania) and Wisebird (Salt Lake City, Utah); Saturday, June 28th on the Main Stage in the park see Mud (Cedar City, Utah), Chris Proctor (from Salt Lake City, Utah), Woodbox Gang (Makanda, Illinois), The Stolen Sweets (Portland, Oregon), Dikki Du & The Zydeco Krewe (Lawtell, Louisiana), Wayne “The Train” Hancock (Austin, Texas) and Chicago Afrobeat Project (Chicago, Illinois). In addition, Mike's Tavern is hosting two GROOVEFEST AFTER-HOURS shows!!
The Grind Coffee House is also hosting Groovefest events! Thursday, June 26 see the GROOVEFEST KICK-OFF SHOW with Nowhere Man & A Whiskey Girl at 7:30 and later that night at 8:30; John Boy's Mule. Workshops and Human Rights Awareness events will take place June 27 at The Grind. Attend the Chris Proctor guitar workshop at 4:00 and a banjo workshop at 5:30 with Kevin Kniebel of Pert' Near Sandstone. Saturday, June 28 attend a PERCUSSION workshop with Chicago Afrobeat Project at 3:00 PM and a GYPSY JAZZ JAM workshop with members of The Stolen Sweets at 5:00. Sign-up sheets for workshops are at Groovacious, The Grind, Whittlesticks, Braun Books, Cedar Music Store & Studio. The Grind will host an alternate GROOVEFEST AFTER-HOURS party and the ever popular GROOVEFST GOSPEL HOUR on Sunday, June 29 at 11:00 AM.

Well, I don't know about being honored, it's just MySpace, but I appreciate the comment anyway. It's funny, I have yet to see you perform live. I first knew about you as a singer years ago, so imagine my surprise when I brought my daughter in for a check up and found out you were a PA, too (again, years ago). I even have one of your songs ripped to my computer hard drive ("Blind"), but I never get out to hear local music the way I'd like to. Maybe we'll share a stage some time in the near future. Who knows.
