    Places I love: The majestry and solitude of Ruby Beach, WA in the rain; the world's best city--Saskatoon Saskatchewan and the sea of gold around it; the cliff's edge overlooking Kenya's Moonlight Bay especially after dark when the music can barely reach you; Washington, DC especially when the politico's are out of session; the view from my childhood cottage overlooking lake Eerie on a misty morning.

    I have a real website I'm putting together slowly. kasandra.us How cool is that? :) No one ever goes there.. it's only partially finished but after my PhD exams I expect to pick up the pace!

  • Music

    Yes, especially if I can dance to it although increasingly dancing has become a 'Risky Business' moment--alone, at home, in a state of semi-undress. I don't understand why natural selection hasn't bred more men who can/will dance. Maybe it's on the X gene? The songs on this site is my musical tribute to Vampire Bill. Hopefully they have a bit of flow to them. And yes, I know he's not real, that's the best part! :) (True confession a few pieces are in there for transition and have little to do with Bill :) )

    As often as possible. I used to go twice a week now I'm lucky to go twice a year. Gotta love the PhD program! If it's got special effects I try to see it in a theater otherwise it's wait for cable! I like action-adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, high-brow comedy (sorry I outgrew body humor when I was seven) and the first half of all Johnny Depp movies.

  • Television

    I learned everything I need to know in life from Star Trek. I still Miss you Gene. Right now, True Blood and the news are my only obsessions but I like House, Bones, Boston Legal, and embarrassingly, 2.5 Men.

  • Books

    Potter and Twilight is all I've read recently to rave about. I read a LOT of science stuff. I enjoy it but it's hard to get into the characters... ;)

  • Heroes

    My Grandma though I barely knew her. My Dad. My Eighth grade teacher who kept me from losing my mind. Every person who's ever served in the military, police or firefighting (as long as they were honorable). Al Gore. Anyone who suffered or died for art or science. My dog, Spice, who's world is uncomplicated and who let's me have half the bed-usually.
