BUTTERMILK BOYS are a rustic, psychedelic folk thing. I play upright bass, sing harmonies, and I’m workin’ on a bit of fiddlin’. Scott Stanton writes the tunes, sings & plays acoustic guitar. My sweet fella Travis Huffhines is on the electric tripped out mandolin, and Brandon Hallacy, a/k/a “The Kid” on psycho-acoustic guitar. We also play our own interpretations of tunes by The Dead, Dylan, John Prine & others . . . We’ll be recording soon.
RIVERCITY REVELATORS is one of the funnest things I’ve been a part of, partly ‘cause I get to cut loose -- it’s a rockin’ punk-a-billy thing. I sing harmonies, play banjo, a bit of fiddle and upright bass, and shake a mean tambourine. Desmond Poirier is the guitarist, songwriter, singer & mastermind behind the project. Nick Baker is on drums, and Bryce Lawrence on bass. We’re loud and in your face. Our first record, “Red Flag” was released in 2006 and we have just released our second album, “Thunder on the River.” Contact Dez on the RR page for info.
THE BOTTOM DOLLAR BAND is my family's band, and I join 'em every chance I get! Terry Rausch & Larry Ford have dubbed themselves “unrelated uncle-in-laws” since they are both my uncles on different sides of my family. BEAUTIFUL! The rest of the band consists of long time friends of the family who I consider to be my “unrelated uncles!” These are the guys i learned to pick with when I was a wee little squirt. It's old school country and honky tonk! My roots! I love it!
You AND Konza Swamp AND Boulevard beer??? Good music & good brews for a good cause too. Dang it all! I wish I lived in KC :O(. If you see my friend, brewer boy Joe, tell him I said howdy & give him a hug. Hugs to you, sweet peach.
Wow..Kasey, thank you for the birthday wish..I really appreciate it. I was told I was at the same venue you were at on Friday, but I sadly do not remember. I spent ost of the time in the back sleeping in the parking lot. Hope I can see you again when i am sober!! HUGS TO YOU! -Wayne-
