KASHMIR is a 5 piece band based in Saskatoon, Sk Canada devoted to the music of Led Zeppelin. They have been tearing up western Canada since 1997. Many radio/print ads have refered to them as " The Ultimate Tribute To Led Zeppelin " but then again they say that about every band these days...KASHMIR prefers to let their performances do the talking.
KASHMIR consists of accomplished musicians Darcy Clayton ( Vocals ) - John Lisi ( Guitar ) - Dave Cummine ( Drums ) - Ray Goertzen ( Bass ) - and Darcy Burback ( Keyboards/Vocals ).
The group has been a mainstay on the Saskatoon music scene since it's inception with constant capacity crowds at every show.
Combining Zeppelin's full catalogue of material KASHMIR typically plays an acoustic set to open their headlining shows, then delivers 2 hours of the most memorable and powerful songs that made the british rock revolutionaries the legends they are today.
Along the way, KASHMIR has carved out their own reputation as a solid live band known just as well for the way THEY play the music. They are first anchored by a punishing rythym section with nimble fingered Ray Goertzen on bass, and the unrelenting beat of Dave Cummine on drums. Darcy Burback opens up many doors with his expertise on the keyboards and prowess with backing vocals. John Lisi is considered one of the best guitarists around...no matter where he is, his diversity and skill shine every time he picks up a guitar. Rounding out the quintet is Darcy Clayton - vocals. With over ten years of live performance to his credit and a well respected vocal ability, he energetically and effectively fronts the band at every show.
Hey buddys, thanks for the add. And no Darcy... theres no strippers or any such thing around here... but if there were...! Ha ha. Don't forget summers coming. We'll have to get together again for some "Pabst Blue RibbON" LOL I'll see you guys soon enough!
Hey Poopy-Pantz! Az and I just wanted to say thanx for the awesome BBQ the other night-that was cool! LuLu looks radiant as ever, and you're still hot in that Ron Jeremy way! We'll host the next sacrificial offering-yes, I've already got a victim in mind and I'm pretty sure we can collectively devour it!! Until we "meat" again-Toodles & Luv!
I finally caught your act the other week. Really enjoyed it. Darcy, your singing is great like always. I got there about 9:00, unfortunatley by the time your electric set was due I had one too many beers, so the next time I'll come a few hours later then i can say I caught the whole show !!!!
Darcy...Darcy...Darcy!
You know, I can deal with the way you're always invading my mainframe-I can even deal with the constant cyber-rape, but what I can't handle is all the viruses you keep giving me!
FUCK! YOU'RE RUINING MY LIFE!!!
P.S.
So when do you and LuLu want to get together for some charred mammal flesh? And some Witch's Brew...some Eye of Newt...some Bat Burritos...etc
Darcy Poo-Poo Pants!
Thanks for the dinner invite-and yes, you're probably right, your fire pit will be too small for my cauldron. But inviting us when you're out of eye of newt is just going too far! I mean really-who does that?
darcy, keep in mind we are in desperate need of a good Led Zeppelin tribute band over her!! come on make the trip over, y'all would love it..read the planet S article, nice one! may see you in July as I am back for a short but sweet visit...Jenn
Hey thank you for the interview! You hgonna try out again if the opportunity comes up?
Estevan is good, but I had a lot of fun in PA. Really missed that place this summer. I am so busy here though its crazy. I had 2 weekends all summer that I didn't have something going on!!! Thats busy!!!
Man, if you and OTW do another gig at The Odeon, I'm bringing two Bic lighters and taking the whole weekend off just to get ready for it, then get over it. That concert was awesome!
Darcy and Ray, good to see you guys this weekend, thank for coming down to the show. Always an honour to have you guys in the house when we play (albeit intimidating).
Hey dudes! Long time no jam - with any of you guys! Oops, not that I've jammed with Ray - we'd have to duel bass riffs on Big Bottoms or something. I still brag that I had the chance to play with Kashmir years ago b4 any shows happened. Of course you rock better with Ray. Miss you guys - Dave's gigantic kick, Johnny's (I hate you you're so good) guitar and hugs, Burback's gorgeous face and stupid perfect pitch, and of course Mr. Clayton with that girly voice and those crazy stories :) I gotta catch you at your next show.
yup, I found y'all.....it takes more than a big body of water and 4 years to keep me away from good people in the homeland.....nice to see I'm still remembered fondly....I miss everyone loads...but who knows, I creep back in the country every once in awhile..Jenn
