Kastlegar fut formé en Juin 2005, au Saguenay (Province de Québec). Dès que Pier-Luc (clavier) et Olivier (guitare) se rencontrèrent, ils commencèrent à travailler sur la première chanson du groupe qui nexistait pas encore; Le sang de mes alliés. Dès que la chanson fut terminée, ils demandèrent à Wendy (voix) de mettre sa voix sur leur nouvelle composition. Celle-ci accepta. Durant le même après-midi, les trois musiciens décidèrent que la basse devrait être ajoutée à la chanson pour aller en chercher toute sa profondeur. François (basse), ami de Wendy et de Pier-Luc, accepta volontier de se joindre à la bande. Le résultat était bien, mais quelques instruments manquaient encore pour donner le résultat escompté. Le groupe invita un ami à jouer avec eux pour une pratique, question de voir si une deuxième guitare pourrait amener les harmonies manquantes. Mathieu (guitare) se joignit au groupe encore sans nom. Puis, les cinq musiciens se mirent à la recherche d'un batteur. Ils firent passer des auditions mais aucun batteur ne leur convenait. Puis, Olivier présenta Alex (batterie) au groupe. Après une seule pratique ensemble, Alex se joint à la bande.
Un an, jour pour jour, après la formation de Kastlegar, le groupe lançait son premier démo: On The Road Of Eternity.
Le 21 Octobre 2006, Mathieu (guitare) quitte le groupe pour des raisons personnelles. Le groupe n'en reste pas moins fort, car la décision de Mathieu l'aidera à poursuivre son chemin.
C'est en novembre 2006, sois presque un mois plus tard, que le groupe reçoit la candidature d'un jeune guitariste prometteur offrant ses services au groupe. Samuel Dufour, natif de Jonquière, se joint à la formation. Le groupe n'a jamais été aussi fort !
En juillet 2006, Samuel quitte le groupe pour des raisons personnelles. Olivier ce retrouve donc encore seul.
Kastlegar offre un mélange de style tous plus intéressants les uns que les autres. Le groupe recherche toujours à pousser plus loin leurs explorations de la musique métal. Influencés par les grands noms du Métal Européens, Kastlegar offre de vivre une musique unique et entraînante.

Kastlegar was formed in June 2005, in Saguenay (Province of Quebec). As soon as Pier-Luc (keyboard) and Olivier (guitar) this met, they started to work on the first song of the group which did not exist yet: Le sang de mes Alliés (French lyrics). As soon as the song was finished, they asked Wendy (voice) to put her voice on their new composition. This one accepted. During the same afternoon, the three musicians decided that a bass should be added to the song to go to seek all its depth of it. François (Bass), friend of Wendy and Pier-Luc, readily agreed this to join to the band. The result was well, but some instruments still missed for given the results discounting.
The group invited a friend to play with them for a practice, question of seeing whether a second guitar could bring the missing harmonies. Mathieu (guitar) this still joined to the group always without name. Then, the 5 musicians starting the search of a drum player. They made test with friend but no drum player was appropriate. Then Olivier introduced Alex (battery) at the group. After only one practical unit, Alex this joined to the band.
The name of the group appeared at a common diner of the band. Several names were proposed but it is the idea of Pier-Luc (Keyboard) who was to accept; the group had now a name; KASTLEGAR
One year day for day after the formation of Kastlegar, the group launched its first EP; One The Road Of Eternity.
On October 21, 2006, Mathieu (guitar) leaves the group for personal reasons. The group does not remain less strong about it, because the decision of Mathieu will help it to carry on his way.
It is in November 2006, would be almost a month later, that the group receive the candidature of a young promising guitarist offering his services to the group. Samuel Dufour, native of Jonquière, join the formation. The group forever be also extremely!
In july 2006, Samuel gone off the band for personnal reason. Olivier's alone again.
Kastlegar offers a mixture of more interesting style all the ones than the others. Of an unnamable style, the group always seeks pushed their explorations further from the heavy metal music. Influenced by the European great names of Metal, Kastlegar offers to live a music single and involving.---------------------------------------------
