.. .. .. YOGINI is the musical alias of Katarina Di Leva, a multi-talented Swedish artist, life coach and teacher. With a voice that has often been described as healing, her music as well as her other work is born out of an intimate relationship with life and the creative force. .. .. Yogini opens the door to soothing landscapes and takes the listener on an inner journey of light, beauty and energy, touching upon our deeply rooted longing to grow and embrace the mysteries of existence. Vast and panoramic views fill with electronic hues that blend effortlessly with traditional acoustic instruments. The lyrics are ancient mantras, prayers to the divine for guidance, healing and enlightment given to her during journeys and encounters with teachers of different spiritual traditions. .. .. - Our life journey is constantly fluctuating between darkness and light, between highs and lows, Katarina says. Sometimes life in the world is unbearably heavy and we long to go somewhere where there is no duality, no separation. I believe this can only happen when we are in touch with the wholeness within ourselves. My music is, apart from being my own personal exploration, born out of a vision to inspire that experience, to support the conscious link between oneself and the essence that underlies both life and death. .. .. Katarina was born in the north of Sweden where the snow falls abundantly during winter and the nights never go dark during the midsummer. From an early age she expressed herself creatively and as the years passed she developed her different talents through projects in television, radio, graphic design and photography, working with a wide range of prominent artists and musicians. .. .. - It..s the same energy expressing itself in different ways, Katarina says, always coming back to the innate presence of the moment, whether singing, taking a photograph or guiding a group into meditation. .. .. With a truly holistic view upon life she combines her work in the modern world with times of introspection, meditation and studying and practising healing and methods for clearing emotional trauma. Her lectures and workshops are usually filled with the presence of the energy she conveys; the life force inherent in all of us making the seemingly impossible possible in our lives. .. ..
