Music
Give me different personalities and inter-woven textures. Tend to stay away from high-pitched and "whiney" since that hurts my ears. I especially love musicians and music which develops into a means of communication and play. I have a particular fondness for those who are able to improvise, transpose and work variations on a theme.
Give me the complexities of harmony and layers of musicality combined with the ability to delve into dynamic and rythmic changes and I would *love* to play along!

About me: Sensoriel:
A French term which has no direct translation into English. It essentially means playing with all of my senses: playing with my sense of touch, taste, smell, sight, etc. It was the first descriptive term that someone used to describe my fire performance. I fell in love with the term because it actually described the feelings behind my performance stuff. I was honored and flattered as well as completely awed that this came across to anyone else. I especially enjoy the fact that there is no direct translation into English. I often notice the inadiquacies of the English language.
I am an artist and performer based out of Baltimore, MD. I have been actively involved in many aspects of the visual and performing arts for over 25 years. I received my BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have been a lifelong artist, performer, activist and arts advocate across the country.
I am mostly known for my work with fire in the last several years, but my performance work has a wide range. I have an extensive background in technical theater with creating, building and designing sets and props as well as my sculptures. I have also created, designed and performed with large scale puppets, interactive sculptures and sets. I also won Honors as Best Actor from Lincoln College and multiple other awards and accolades for my art and performance work.
Several years ago I was higly involved with the organizing and leading of Playa del Fuego (PDF) , the Mid-Atlantic Burning Man Regional event, of which I was on the Planning Committee, BOD, Co FireTeam Leader and the Effigy builder of for 7 of the PDF festivals. I also had the honor of being invited onto the BOD of the Creativity Collective which was to be the first national non-profit to support arts and regionals for the Burning Man Regionals.
Currently I perform independently and with the fabulous Cheeky Monkey Sideshow!

Who I'd like to meet: Those who are into creation and not destruction; self nor of others. Those who want to leave the world and people around them without a negative trace.
Freaks who aren't afraid to speak, despite the social pressures to live in apathy and ignorance. Geeks who can think beyond, around and above. Performers and artists of all types who love to collaborate and work with others; those who know that two heads are greater than one and believe in crediting *all* involved. Humans who know we're all connected and all in this together. This is not a dog eat dog world unless that is what *YOU* believe. If that is your philosophy then we will probably not fundamentally get along although we could have some wonderful discussions and debates.

Thanks for the friendship as well. I'm enjoying browsing through your page. Contrary to what some might think, the world revolves around art, not money. Scott
I haven't been around much, so just wanted to impart some well wishes and let you know I haven't forgotten about you my friend. ~ ~ Be Well and Keep Burning~ ~ BurningRaven ~ Burningraven. com
