Saved at the age of nine, Kate did not come to a true understanding of faith in Jesus Christ until the age of twelve, when her dad was diagnosed with cancer. He has survived the cancer but Kate learned through that experience that sometimes it takes a tragedy to become broken enough to fall into the arms of God. Kate has been leading worship since the age of twelve. Her musical influences include Nichole Nordeman, Natalie Grant, Imogen Heap, and Coldplay. When she was thirteen she traveled to the west coast to share the gospel through music and choreography with the Young Continentals; at age seventeen she was a featured vocalist on Mike Cowart's song Even If I Fall. Kate aspires to record and write her own music and become a worship leader for Christian conferences.
