Hi I'm Kate Smith. I'm one half of the London based duo GOLD (see the first link in my 'top friends' if you fancy taking a listen), we've just completed our debut album which we're hoping to release by Spring 2009. My voice may seem familiar to some as I've been fortunate enough to provide guest vocals / have written songs for a whole host of producers / acts. I write professionally for and on behalf of other artists, most recently writing several tracks for some exciting new artists, who'll be making their debuts next year. I'm inspired by my life experiences and the classic songwriters of the 70's. Elton John, Todd Rundgren, Carly Simon, The Carpenters & many more.
I've been fortunate enough to have one of my songs take the number 1 spot twice over in the Uk dance charts and I'm currently published by Notting Hill Music for songwriting. If you'd like to hear some of my other dance releases you can check out the second link in the top friends below.
I'd love to hear from you and feel free to write a comment, you might just make my day!
Hello Kate What a pleasure it is to visit your page and hear your beautiful voice...would love to hear more songs please. Hope you are enjoying this wonderful Spring weather. ~♥~ Hugzs Carol ~♥~
Kate- Beautiful voice and songs, great work! Maybe we'll have a chance to write something some time. Give a listen, let me know your thoughts, thanks! D
Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st.
I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong.
He is a character.
Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.
If you want to see Tommy in action....check out my blog. There is a video from last week in Nashville from the studio.
Take care, the music is sounding great, and i hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kevin Montgomery
