Hi and thank you for checking out my music. I am a 14 year old singer, songwriter, and musician from Powder Springs, Georgia.
Music is my passion and I know the Grand Ole Opry stage is calling my name.
My pursuit of music, like most, has been all my life. I have grown up in church choirs and school choirs and a couple of years ago I began my first guitar, piano, and voice lessons. The rest is history. I am most comfortable on a stage with a crowd of 5 to 5000. I feel fortunate to know at a young age that this is my life's passion. I hope to do this for the rest of my life.
About 18 months ago, I had the privilege of attending a songwriter's workshop in Nashville. Wow, what a turning point. I knew instantly that writing was a way to put in words and in music all the things in life that are important and meaningful to me. It is country music that bends my ear and speaks to me and I think some of life's greatest stories have found their homes in countries songs. I hope to write one of those stories one day that people will remember and sing for decades.
I have had the honor of playing many of Nashville's famous venues in songwriter rounds and have met some amazing people. Everyone, though I am young, has been very supportive. I have been honored to have written with several great Nashville songwriters and am thrilled to pen a song with them. I frequent Nashville several times monthly and can't wait to call it home. Just deciding on that whole homeschooling musician decision everyday. I know when the time is right, the right decision will be made.
I am a member of Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association where I took home Female Vocalist of the year for 2008, CD of the Year for 2008 and Songwriter of the Year for 2008. Those awards allowed me the honor to compete in NACMAI where I took home 2009 Most Promising Songwriter of the Year and Horizon Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. Other awards include Best of Cobb People's Choice Award, Cuppy's First American Idol Contest Winner. Recently,I have had the honor to present some of my songs to various publishers with very favorable feedback.
All of this takes amazing support from my family and friends that constantly come out to hear me play. I am thankful to GOD for this talent and wish only to honor him everyday with my life and music.

Hey Katelyn, Good to here from you. I hope all is well with you and your music. Did the Bluebird go good? I was in Nashville last week writing. I'm getting a cut after the first of the year and can't wait. Also doing a cookbook session in Nashville with Guitars and Grills cookbook. Maybe we can get together sometime and do some writing.
