I'm Katie & I've been playing piano since I was 4 years old. I was our church's pianist in the summer of 2002 as a temporary replacement for the official pianist. She had broken her fingers & couldn't play for the entire summer! That was the beginning of my "public" piano playing. I started taking music to contests when I was in high school & received top honors in all divisions. I played for my first wedding in 2003 at my cousin's wedding. Now I currently work as the piano accompanist for the high school choir here in town & teach piano on the side. My biggest dream is to play for country singers in Nashville. Maybe someday I'll get that opportunity!
Just a few years back, an international student from Germany came over as a recording artist & recorded me playing a song on the keyboard. That song is "Symphony in Dm", my very first song I've ever recorded! Tell me what you think & thank you for stopping by! =D
