Kathleen was brought up on the beautiful Isle Of Skye on the North West Coast of Scotland immersed in her native Gaelic culture. From gigging with her mother, playing at local Ceilidhs, the family band and the local Feis an Earraich, she went on to further her musical interests and gained a BA Hons in Scottish Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2003.
At the RSAMD Kathleen studied under the renowned Gaelic singer Dr Kenna Campbell. It was during her time there that Kathleen discovered that she had a love for many different styles of singing and she also began studying under the guidance of singer/songwriter, Sophie Bancroft.
Kathleen joined the septet Brolum in which she sang lead vocals and played the Clarsach. Brolum toured for several years in places such as North America, Europe and the Uk. While in Brolum Kathleen recorded the album 'The Fair Face I Never Saw'.
Other recordings include Gary Innes's CD, 'How's the Craic?', RSAMD's CD, Arran Recording of Songs (Out Soon). Kathleen has also made numerous TV appearances, the latest being, Garaids, Ceol Country and soon to be seen, Alleluia!
Kathleen has this year returned to studying and is currently on placement at the BBC in Glasgow furthering her interests in the media.
