Anthony Marr	Feb 9 2010 5:59 PM This is dedicated to the great Hypatia. Born in 370 CE, as a pagan, she became the First Woman of science, mathematics, astronomy, philosophy and athletics. In short, she was a Renaissance Woman more than a millennium ahead of the Renaissance itself. And like those ahead of their time, she was frowned upon by the old guards, the worst being the Christian Bishop Cyril, and jeered by the retarded among the young turks, though among them she also found her disciples. She had many loves, but never married, her devotion being to intellectual inquiry and the dissemination of truth; she was outspoken to a fault in a progressively anti-intellectual society. And then, in 415, she was pulled from her chariot by the mob led by Cyril, and dragged into a church, where she was stripped naked, and flayed alive with abalone shells and pottery shards. Ask 100 people in the street about Giordano Bruno or Hypatia, and 99 would not know who they were, when in truth, theirs are the greatest stories fate has ever told, supressed through the centuries. I will help to resurrect these brave souls back into immortality. Amen. Anthony Marr	Feb 6 2010 8:36 AM May I present Lori Fitzgerald, the Lady of Honor of the first (of 50) Funeral Motorcade for the Animals in my 37-states-in-7-months Compassion for Animals Road Expedition (CARE-7). Lori is a well known and long time animal rights activist in the Vancouver area. This first motorcade will be on March 31 - my departure date on the CARE-7 tour. It will start in Downtown Vancouver at 11:30 a.m., and will send me off at the U.S./Canadian border by about 2:30 p.m., thus kick-starting the CARE-7 tour whose purpose is to forge and launch the Global Anti-Hunting Coalition (GAHC). We still need many more Ladies of Honor for the 50 motorcades, who will uphold similar signs in the back seat of my motorcycle which will lead the motorcades. He could have saved himself by recanting, but he steadfastly refused. He basically allowed himself to be burnt - for truth. During the Vietnam war: Buddhist monks regularly burned themselves alive - without even a whimper. They gave their lives for peace. And now, on January 27, Wednesday, 26-year-old Daniel Shaull burnt himself at the Ungar fur store in Portland, Oregon - out of compassion. His last words were: "THE ANIMALS ARE DYING! ANIMALS DYING!" And in empathy, he died with them. No one knows who Daniel Shaull is, so let him personify the self-sacrificial spirit of our movement. We must not let these supreme sacrifices go unlauded. We cannot let these real superheroes die in vain! I have 3 simple questions for them: 1.The Moon's night temperature is -153C; Mars, -142C; Earth's was +3C here last night. Why? 2.Would physicists, chemists and astronomers say that more greenhouse gasses (GHGs) in the atomsphere will trap more heat from the sun? 3.The CO2 concentration in 1880 was 285 ppm; now, it is 387 ppm. Where did the extra 102 ppm come from? To #1: Mar's is farther from the Sun than the Moon but is warmer because it has an atmosphere with GHGs while the Moon has none. Earth has a much thicker atmosphere than Mars', with even more GHGs. In fact, without global warming, the deniers wouldn't exist. To #2: YES, YES and YES. To #3: Human activities. Q.E.D. Answer: After all the ice cubes have melted off. For as long as there is ice left to melt, the infused heat will go to melting the ice first, not in raising the temperature. Now imagine the Arctic Ocean as the pot of ice-water. The Big Heat won't come on until all the sea ice have melted in the summer, as early as 2013, then, watch out! Worse, the Big Heat will accelerate the melting of the permafrost and the sea floor methane hydrate deposits, releasing gaseous methane by the billions of tons into the atmosphere, thus kick-starting the dreaded Runaway Global Heating.
