It's very original at the moment, ballad style...my Idol is Sarah Brightman, I adore her voice and Paul will tell you how much I love her!!! I have been dying to go to one of her concerts but she doesn't tour the UK ofter :'-(
My other Idol is Andrea Bocelli, I think he has a voice like chocolate and I would to sing 'Time To Say Goodbye' with him, it's been one of my dreams! I have always talked to Paul about how I would adore to sing with him! (Whenever Paul wants me to sing about love he says 'Think about your beloved Andrea!!!' hehe)
It all began when Katie's mother heard Katie singing Charlotte Church's 'Just Wave Hello' at the top of the voice in her room, this lead to Katie having singing lessons which finally lead to her first competition!!! Katie's cousin - Christie, had always been the performer of the family, so when she heard that Katie was going to enter her first competition, she was more than happy to offer her support after fighting nerves, being pushed on stage and her cousin having a pep talk with her, at the age of 13, Katie had entered her first competition which lead to her winning the title of Young Welsh Entertainer Of The Year.
After this Katie sang at several venues over the years, including:
Cardiff International Arena (CIA)
St Davids Hall
Swansea Grand Theatre
Dolman Theatre
Congress Theatre
Etc etc
She has also appeared in newspapers, in radio interviews and even the odd television appearance, in 2002 Katie teamed up with the writer Paul Weston, to record several songs, in particular Shine which was recorded and released for BBC Children In Need. Since then Katie has been performing in Theatres throughout Wales and is currently working on her new album.
