Been singing for as long as I can remember. Been writing songs and playing guitar since I was 10 years old. Learnt the guitar by copying my Dad and brother - never had a proper guitar or singing lesson though! Do regular shows around the north-east from Yorkshire to the Tyne area put on by various promoters. I have Rosie Potter of Saltburn-on-Sea to thank for getting me started on the north-east music scene.
Do lots of gigs and functions mostly around the Teesside/South Durham area. I'm also in the middle of putting the finishing touches to a couple of original songs - 'Soul' and 'Once Bit Twice Shy' for release this autumn. I'm also working on some arrangements with a backline of highly established local musicians with a view to start gigging as 'The Katie Coleman Band'. If that's not enough there's a video on the way as well. All exciting stuff - watch out for it all on here!
Hello Katie. Thanks for the add! The Woodcutter gig sounded great the other night! Yeah, next time you play there we can have a jam. Will be good to hear you sing in a band set up, think you'll suit it well! Take care. Jez.
Hey Katie Thanks for telling me about your new version of Soul! It's an awesome song!!! My favorite music is country but I've become a Katie Coleman fan!!! Take care. Steve
Hi Katie Thanks for adding me. I really enjoyed your music and videos!!! I especially like your original songs: Soul and Once Bit Twice Shy!!! I think you're amazing!!! Have a great week. Steve
Hi gorgeous - how are you? I'm so glad you found me, would love to stay in touch :)
If you want any advice on anything I'd love to chat with you hun, I started out playing in cafe's for $150 5 years ago and since then I've toured the country and released CDs and stuff... all self managed and promoted... And I've now signed with Sony and am working on my first full length album which will be out next year!
It's SO amazing and I hope you'll one day feel what I'm feeling :) Anyways, keep spreading the love!
