Katie Gearty is one of the new voices of the Twin Cities. A versatile artist, she was nominated for Female Vocalist of 2006 by the Minnesota Music Academy. Katie sings many styles of music, especially jazz, R&B, funk, rock, and blues. As well as fronting her own band, Katie Gearty performs with The Tanner Taylor Quartet, The Wolverines, The Atlantis Quartet, Bruce Henry, Hooker's $ Blow, Freedom Train Ensemble, The Modd Squad, Synergy, Gwen Matthews, Connie Olson, The Kurt Jorgensen Band, and Steve Clarke.
In her debut self titled CD, Katie Gearty covers contemporary blues, Stevie Wonder and jazz standards delivered with her unique and eclectic sound and style. Her CD and live band features Park Evans, Cody McKinney, and Greg Schutte.
