Born and raised to a musician, Katie has been performing since grade school. So far, she's clocked 23 years into instruments including the piano, trumpet, and bass. Recently, she has added pennywhistle, conch shell, washboard, & accordian thanks to touring with Warsaw Poland Bros.
Katie's career began in Portland, OR where her first professional job occurred at age 14. After earning a BA in Music, emphasis, jazz studies from University of Oregon in Eugene, she was then offered an opportunity to begin graduate studies at Portland State University. Although very close to completing the program, she decided to take a hiatus and cruise with Royal Carribean as a member of the house orchestra, ice skating production, and small group jazz playing.
Proficient at improvising and reading on trumpet, her first tracks feature her singing and songwriting abilities. Some tracks are live, with touring members of Warsaw, but "Beauty Girl" is produced with Aaron Poland, Invisible Mass, with scratch vocal tracks.

Wow! You do like to keep things interesting. From my experience, you get the most out of the toughest challenges. You are great and going to be even greater. Thanks for sharing the pic. We did have some fun times! Hope to see you sometime in Portland or ....
So guess what??? We're going on tour with Slightly Stoopid and Pepper for a quickie week-long run, and I'm pretty stoked! Warsaw will start in SF and end in NE....
