Stuckey is a Houston-based ensemble of experienced musicians whose paths have crossed in an eclectic journey of various styles and genres over many, many years.
With Craig Feazel on pedal steel and electric guitar, Will Thomas on guitar, Mark Riddell on bass, and Paul Beebe on drums, the music draws from alternative country roots to create a pulsing, sonically charged energy that compliments Katie’s powerful and sultry vocal style.
The bands dry wit creates an unmistakable tension both lyrically and musically, eased every so often by atmospheric interludes and driving rhythms that are sure to stir the soul of audiences everywhere and please the ears of young and old alike. The band has been selected by the Houston Press and fans as Best Country (2008), Best Folk Acoustic (2007) and Best Female Vocalist (2007 and 2008). Nominated again in 2009 for Best Country/Roots. They are currently working on their new album that will be released fall 2009.
