Pushing the limits in a scene where energetic, audience participation performances are a rarity, KATIUS prides themselves on taking their music and stage show to the "next level." Giving their all on stage, they get not only their longtime fans involved in the show but also win over new ones with their catchy vocal harmonies, melodic guitar riffs and hooks that will stick in your head long after the band has played their final encore.
Formed in 2005, these 5 friends from Dayton, Ohio commit themselves to bringing something new to the table, blending different musical styles but with a pop songcraft. Drummer Kyle Steele states, "KATIUS sounds like a cross between new Fall Out Boy meets old Blink-182, with some hardcore sprinkled in like salt on french fries." This unique yet familiar sound has found a widespread appeal with fans of multiple genres, widening their appeal as more and more people listen and enjoy their performances.
With their first EP, "Don't Give 'Em The Stick", KATIUS showcased their talent for all who listened. Their follow up CD, "The Getaway" was received well by their fans as well, often selling out at shows and from their online store. The 5 song acoustic EP, "B Side Up" is currently hot off the presses and they're due back in the studio in early '09 to record their next, as yet untitled, CD to be followed by an epic tour of the midwest region in the spring/summer of 2009.
KATIUS does what they do not only because they love it, but to inspire people and give them an 'escape' in their everyday lives. "Our fans make us what we are," says lead vocalist ProKyle Elwood, "and most bands neglect that fact." With a fan base that continues to grow exponentially, KATIUS is well on their way to becoming a household name not only in the midwestern region, but nationally as well.

Saturday November 7 at The Vollrath Tavern, Indianapolis
With an assembly that includes members of Ministry (Warner Bros.) and Thrill Kill Kult (Rykodisc), it's obvious project .44 has a firm grasp on the aggro/industrial/tek metal scene. Hailing from the industrial/tek-metal capital of Chicago, where pioneers like Ministry paved the way for recent grads like Static-X, project .44 continues the tradition of Chicago's knack for mixing pulverizing guitar licks with catchy dance beats. It is the forging experience that Louis Svitek (Ministry) provides when laying down the tracks that the band transfers to the stage explicitly and explosively.
Also dance all night to resident DJs Copper Top, Zlaya, Krazy Karoline
