Kanako was born in Osaka, Japan.
She started to play the accordion since 4 years old.
She won a contest of at the age of 17.
After graduating high school she went to France to learn accordion.
She studied at Conservatoires municipaux de Paris and then at
the Centre National et International de Musique et d'Accordeon (CNIMA).
During her study in France she won at a contest of the french
accordion.
So far she released 4 albums.
Kanako played mainly classic music in France and French musette
after coming back to Japan.
These years she has been playing mainly her self composed tunes.
She started "Solo Project" since 2005, playing accordion solo
for full concert of 90 minutes.
Kanako has played with various musicians from Japan and
foreign countries at concerts and recording.
Her goal is to play accordion until over 80 years old.
