I love to read books that help me to grow as a Christian and mother. I'm also interested in health and fitness. I like to keep up with current events, and have some what of an interest in politics and social welfare. I think it's a blast to get all dressed up for a formal night at the symphony or the theatre and I'd like to check out the opera some day. I'm interested in whatever will make me smile or laugh.
Music
I like lots of music but I place my focus on Christian contemporary rock.
I don't have cable but on the one channel I do have I like to watch LOST. When I had cable I used to watch the weather channel alot. I'm fascinated by the weather. I also like to keep up with news.
Too many good ones to mention. Most with a Christian theme. I like to do Bible Studies written by Beth Moore (I do others as well but for some reason the ones by Beth really seem to connect with what I'm going through in life). I think three of my favorite books are Embracing Brokenness, Getting Marriage Right by Dave Gushee and The Age of Opportunity.

About me: I'm a sorta single Christian mom desiring to mirror my Savior (I have a long way to go). I have two very special blessings from God. They are my son who is a senior in high school (and is now officially in the Special Forces for the U.S. Navy) and daughter who is a freshman in high school. Life is a bit hairy at times but like so many mom's before me, I will survive!
I am a Pastoral Assistant for three pastors at a local church. I also (on rare occasions) substitute at the YMCA as an aquatics aerobics instructor. I can also serve as a free lance artist, caterer, and cake decorator at times.
I'm a member of the International Thespian Society. I like to play the piano (notice I said I like to play...not that I am good at it LOL). I also love to blog, paint, write, act and sing. I don't participate in my hobbies as much as I'd like to because I work full-time and I'm also working on a bachelor's degree. In addition, aside from my involvement at church, there are ball games, band performances, youth group activites and such that keep me on the go pretty much...then there is the new relationship...hmmmmmm...???.
I love outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, jet skiing...anything involving water except deep sea diving. I have a fear of going too far under water.
I'm not here for dating purposes. I have a significant other who I am very committed to.

The kids and I received a call to missions in the fall of 2006. We went on our first trip in the summer of 2007 to Albania. I have been journaling about it and there's so much more to tell. It's just been hard finding the time. It may have been the only one or the beginning of a lifetime in missions, who knows? I do know that we have caught the bug and plan to go on future trips but more important is the mission field that is ever before us right here in our own community. Thank you for stopping by.
