From August 2007 to November 2008 I was the editor of CHERRIE, a monthly magazine for 'not-so-straight' women in Australia. For the past five years I've written regularly for SX, a weekly arts, news and entertainment magazine for the GLBTIQ community in Sydney, including a column Keeping Abreast. My work has appeared in a variety of magazines, including the UK's Diva, US magazine Curve and Time Out London and YEN.
I'm the co-author and/or editor of three books on sex and gender diversity: Trans-X-U-All: The Naked Difference; Sex, Gender & Sexuality: 21st Century Transformations; and Finding the Real Me: True Tales of Sex & Gender Diversity and the latest Trans People in Love
I'm a (slightly) kinky high-femme lipstick lesbian who loves golden age Hollywood, drag queen glamour, disco music, big heels and fabulous sparkly frocks, who's also a radical vegan and passionate animal rights activist. I have a degree in performance art and when the urge takes me I occasionally do some performing, including character stand-up comedy. I've written short plays over the years, and there's a novel or memoir lurking inside me, which I guess will come out when it's ready.
