Kat sings about bad asses and goddesses, doing the backstroke for love, hitting the road and drinking wine with ghosts, or with anyone for that matter. In "Satan's Sheets" she documents the soul sucking attempts at straight day jobs. Kat also sings about human generosity and kindness in "Hitchin' a Ride" . . .
Yet stops along the road can also bring the darker side of experience. In "Cream of the Crop", she sings of “male whores and hanging raw meat” in Hell's Kitchen, New York. In "Still have my Dreams,” she ponders the life of a female junkie on Hastings and Main in Vancouver . . . .
She sings of the road, farmland, cityscapes, back alleys, and flophouses in a voice honest and pure, full of experience and tarmac . . .
Kat was a farm girl from the Slocan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. With heart restless and thumbs supple from a childhood spent milking cows, she soon set out to see the world. From Mexico to Australia, and after jumping ship in the South Seas, she hit New York City, the Caribbean, Britain and Spain, and then San Francisco. But the Kat always came back to Canada . . .

ps from Kat - i have not been singing for some time and some of this info is part of another incarnation of mine which is fine and some pics are nostalgic too. i wanted to get onto myspace to communicate with my very talented pals and other cool people. so here i am. but i moved on to other creative genres since these songs were recorded on a 4 track system many moons ago. i work on documentaries, write, create art and lately i have fairy tale episodes on the go.

doin okay - the combo of the cold, allergies and work has me gasping for air a bit - lots of work to do around the house so I am busy with that and I have 4 shows this week so.... yeah... I miss CR - I will get up there , probably July if that still works for you

hi kat -- how is new york ..:-) oh to be there. yes i felt bad . i wrote up some of my concerns so people know where i am coming from ... but it doesnt go down well with many - the criticism of human trials at any rate. it is like breaking up a good party to say anything....? do you know what i mean. its not easy . this is as much my own journey as a project i realise after one year and so many points of view . i hope its all good with you kat . happy thanksgiving ( 22nd??) julianna
