  • General

    Knitting--that's right! I love to knit. I think I may have developed a repetitive-motion injury from knitting, but I just take tylenol and keep on. I love movies, but have no time to see them--well, other than kid movies with my kid! I like cooking, esp. making non-vegan recipes into vegan recipes. Also I like baseball especially the Braves--big surprise huh?? I like hockey, too--the New York Rangers. I feel disloyal supporting a New York team, but what can you do?? Other than that my interest is mostly in music . . . please read on . . .

I also love: Rock'n'Roll High School, Citizen Kane, anything directed by Douglas Sirk, The Godfather I and II, My Man Godfrey, Star Wars episodes IV, V, VI (III was okay), Kiss Me Deadly, All About Eve, Lolita (1962 version), most Hitchcock films, Out of the Past, Dr. Strangelove, The Maltese Falcon, Chinatown, The Big Sleep, It Happened One Night, The Wild Angels, most Mel Brooks movies--esp. Young Frankenstein, Last Tango in Paris, Rocky Horror Picture Show, pretty much all Woody Allen films, Valley Girl, Grosse Point Blanke (John Cusack can stand against a white wall and I would watch that), Carrie, Godzilla movies, Dr. No, Goldfinger, Singing in the Rain, West Side Story, Rude Boy, End of the Century, Super Size Me, anything Michael Moore directed, Some Like it Hot, Mr. Roberts, Rosemary's Baby, The Night of the Hunter . . . to be continued . . .

    Venture Brothers is my fave, 24, the Colbert Report, Weeds, Flight of the Conchords, Metalocalypse, Scrubs, Law & Order (all of them), CSI (all of them), You Are What You Eat (on BBC America), Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiam, One Punk Under God, The Daily Show, Desperate Housewives, Sex in the City (RIP), almost anything on the History Channel, MXC, Ace of Cakes, 2 Dudes Catering, Man VS Wild, Knitty Gritty, Boondocks, Miami Ink, LA Ink and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And I totally do watch 90210 reruns all the time--yeah, I'm lame! What I watch a lot of, however, since I have a 6 year old, is cartoons and PBS. Right now it's Bakugan Brawlers . . . kill me.

  • Books

    I will read just about anything, but these days it's usually murder mysteries or something that's quick and easy because when you are a single mom you have no time to read for yourself! I do read a million books to my son every night . . . and I am a geek for Harry Potter. I read the latest book in 9 hours the day it came out. Yeah, yeah, I know I need to get a life! I also like biographies. And books on baseball. And any books about film. I like just about anything--I'm easy!!

    My son! Susan Sarandon and Demi Moore . . . (it's an in-joke . . . ) Al Franken and anyone who gives George Bush shit. The Vegan Freaks. Amy Sedaris! She is nuts and I love her. My mom and dad. The Yarn Harlot.

About me:

I play bass in the all girl band Catfight, but we are semi-retired, so we don't play too often. Check us out at http://www.myspace.com/catfightband I have also played with Doll Squad and The Shanghai Gesture. I am vegan and you should be. I have a seven year old son who plays the drums, and loves baseball and he kicks ass. He does karate now so watch out! I worked in the music business for 15 years, but I got laid off at the end of February--but I think that's a good thing. I'm totally up for completely changing my life right now!

Who I'd like to meet:

I would also love to meet any other ROCK MOMS ha ha ha! I am tired of feeling like an alien when I show up at t-ball and parent meetings. Are y'all out there? Also I would like to meet vegans and people interested in animal rights . . . and any and all knitters.
