About Katy Wright

I am a clasically trained piano player turned singer/songwriter. Although I still play piano, I haven't incorporated it into much of my songwriting yet. Right now I teach piano lessons and am more concerned about teaching the students how to play. I would have to say my songs are very emotionally driven. Each song I write is usually based around one particular person and the lyrics feed off of that person. I've become a very honest songwriter over the years, really striving to evoke some emotion from the listener. I just released my first EP in March of 2006, entitled "Be With Me Tonight". I am currently playing gigs around town and always working on new material. I am also playing keys with Teagan and the Tweeds.
