Kautshuk is a tree. .. .. When the punk and hardcore bomb blew over, it left a few seeds to grow up through the thick ashes. One of these seeds has now developed into a tree far away from where it usually grows, it is called the Kautshuk tree. It has one root connected to all that happened in Umeå more than ten years earlier, but that root alone can't provide much nurture. One other root grows towards ALL the bands that lets there creativity be their inspiration, not trying to repeat or satisfy an audience that wants their music to be a mirror for what they do not do, or do not think. Seeds of this tree have also been planted inside four heads, not on purpose, they probably got in there somewhere between the tip of a toe and the top of a head. As you know seeds travel with wind and air and stuff with the shit. Anyway! These human mammals have learned to inhale and exhale together in a perfect symphony. Heads have been opened to let the part where the seed out of sunshine and rain become a tall everserving tree right here in this little town called Umeå. .. .. The Kautschuk embryo consist of Johan Holmgren playing drums and Daniel Axelsson on guitars. 2004 Johan and Daniel desolved and burried the band Sweet Leaf to start a new band with close friend Emanuel Öhgren stretching his vocal cords. In the early spring of 2006 Erik Nåteryd joined the band to thicken the sound with some solid bass. Kautschuk left it's utero. After playing their music at some festivals and pubs including live gig on swedish radio and recording a demo at boo studio in the year 2007 they took year of 2008 to develop new sounds in a more artistic way. Even though they where getting only good reviews from their past work they felt like doing more, and better. It can only be explaind through soundwaves from their new album, which at first will be reveald to the rest of the world when they come and experience all the euforia Kautschuk is breeding on their live gigs. .. .. Kautschuk is a live band! .. .. Kautschuk sounds like a mix of what you would hear if you listened to The Melvins, Radiohead, Tool, Qotsa, Ratm, Beatles, Refused, Nirvana, Mastodon, Meshuggah, Alice in chains and all the other great bands at the same time. .................................... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......
