Kay-Jay Brown is a dynamic, versatile and prolific British singer/songwriter as well as a rapper/lyricist. Quoting the lyrics on one of her tracks, she was conceived in Rome, born in London and was internationally raised. Having grown up in several different countries, understanding and interacting with an ethnically varied populace comes naturally and she incorporates her culturally diverse influences in her music, albeit in a very subtle manner.
At the tender age of 12, the lyrically talented Kay-Jay began penning down songs which were used in the school choir at her secondary school at the time. At every school she attended, she always made a mark as she never hesitated to lend her vocals to musically related projects. Over the years, she discovered her passion in totality and developed her own unique style to finesse. At the age of 17, she began performing and recording her own tracks professionally.
She started performing original material in talent shows and in open mic sessions mostly in London, where she was based. She participated and was fully involved in other performances. As a member of Westminster TheatreArts and DreamArts youth service, she volunteered and used her talents to help set up acting and singing projects aimed at helping less privileged youths to have an outlet to do something positive in the community. One such project was the arabian nights, where she worked with producer, Roger Morrisson (her producer at the time), Keisha White (British R&B singer) and Geneva Williams, to name a few.
Kay-Jay uses R&B, Hip-Hop and Soul to express her art of storytelling, but it doesn’t stop there. She infuses Rock, Pop, Alternative and Contemporary elements in her music as well, as a matter of fact she often steps out completely from urban music and focuses solely, but usually in collaborative work, on the above mentioned genres. Like she says… ‘If it sounds good, I’m doing it’. Her songs provide a window for one to peer in to observe her vivid imagination, creative energy and musical flexibility.
Stage performances took a back seat as she concentrated on completing her first degree and her masters, but it didn’t put her song writing and music production on hold though. She was equally dedicated to making as many songs as inspiration allowed, which was, in her case, very often.
Her musical influences cut across a multi-genre music spectrum. It includes not just music artists, but producers as well, as she dabbles in a bit of music production herself. Her influences include Missy Elliott, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Kelis, Pink, and Toni Braxton to name a few.
Considering she only just relocated from London to Dublin, she has gone straight to work, musically speaking. She is working mainly with producer, BioRhythm, in Dublin, Ireland. She is already performing tracks such as Hit Party, Mr. Producer man and Bye. She has opened for Kelis and more recently, Rihanna.
Her eagerly anticipated EP, Harmonies, is currently being recorded and is expected to be released sometime later on in the year. Kay-Jay Brown is definitely one to watch out for, she’s a ticking time bomb and it’s only a matter of time before she explodes… excuse the pun.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
Christian
