Kaylee learned to play music on a 12 string guitar. Originally from Bathurst, now residing in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Kaylee was raised in a musical family. Her love for music began with her father at a very early age. This inspiration is clearly evident in Kaylee’s performances and recordings. Her influences include Tegan and Sara as well as KT Tunstall among others. Meaningful lyrics and skillful guitar are what make Kaylee an outstanding performer. Whether playing with a full band or performing solo, audiences are captivated by the immense talent that this east coast artist possesses. She pours her heart into each piece of music as she uses relationships and life experiences as inspiration for her writing. Kaylee has had the privilege of playing as a solo artist at the Capital Bar in Fredericton, Boom Nightclub, The Fredericton Playhouse, and at the Fredericton Farmer’s Market just to name a few. She is widely involved in the music community taking part in the East Coast Music Awards’s, The Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival and is a registered member of Music NB. On her off days, you can find her acting with the local theatre company “The Calithumpians”. Kaylee’s live show consists of powerful ballads, playful pop-rock and ear-teasing covers. Kaylee says, “I like taking my own spin on covers, sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don’t, but its fun doing it, and I like the reactions I get from people.” Kaylee is currently working on her debut album “Framework” due out late August, while continuing to perform locally.
