Radio Fallout got its modest start in August of 2008 in Cincinnati Ohio as a solo project of songwriter and former front man of The Mondegreens, Caleb Scates. Scates entered Ultrasuede Studios to record an 8 song demo with John Curley (The Greenhornes, White Stripes) at the mixing board. The demo, titled Reeducation, was released in November 2008 under Scates name and received air play on college radio stations across the USA and Canada. Reeducation came on the heels of Scates first solo record, Lo-Fi Audio Circle, which drew international attention selling copies in 6 countries and being nominated for several international songwritting awards.
Shortly following the release of Reeducation Scates relocated to Austin Texas to join Jonathan Palmer and Daniel Walker formerly two thirds of the hard rock band Pushfactor. The newly formed group hit the ground running immediately revising the songs from Reeducation as well as writing new material and promoting their new project. Radio Fallout is currently recording a 5 song EP at Wonderland Studios in Austin Texas and working hard to build on the enthusiastic regional following of Pushfactor as well as the international attention received from Scates solo projects.
