Influences
World's traditional, Jazz, Classical & anything I hear
Born in Osaka. Been in Jazz firm since 1980. Spent 1988-1990 in NYC. Performed as the member of numerous bands such as "Zenryoku Onnanies"(1993-2001), "Shibusa Shiraz, Moers Jazz Festival Germany, 1997", "Rico Rodriguez Band, 1999", "Machine Translations, 1999-2000 Big Day Out/Woodford Fes" etc.
It is incredible to find or been found by someone who creates wonderful arts including the ones possibly on the other side of the planet.
I am liking the idea of actual corporation/creating the art works together through the network in many levels as well as the virtual friendship.
I feel most comfortable playing stringed instruments but basically cannot help enjoying any musical instruments come across.
I am now in Byron Bay Australia. Been 'round here for nearly 8years. Time flies...
The project that I am currently most tuned is the band is Slim Buddhas
Jazz, Mambo, Tango etc. turns into Tri-Hop. Brand new band!
Previous Works:
"Maintain the Universe"(1999~ Kyoto - Byron Bay)
"Tokyo Bound" (Film Soundtrack, Sydney 2000)
"Paon" (w Guy Freer: 1997~)
"Hide the Potato" (Irish Unit 2000~)
"M'bbedeh" (w 7 Djembes, Banjo and Bass)
"Parethesis" (Mark:composition, Kazz: arrangements etc. 2000~)
"Mama Mojo" (Blues Funk Duo w Chinta 2002~)
"Be Carmen" (Virtual Soundtrack: Ken Naughton&Kazz 2003~)
"Olive Groove". The mixture of ethnos, instrumentation, each song's origin, time signatures etc. is blended well and has become such a groovy gravy for the various Greek recipes. Thank GODDESS!

Hello!!! It's been awhile - sorry there hasn't been in any Australian shows for many months but we've been busy in Europe with a bunch of touring and we're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But to make up for it, here's a big (and silly) Merry Christmas from us (and from some hippos too) :
Some bold new artistic direction? Nah, Just us being silly!!! We did this track for our label's "Black Snow - the completely different Xmas compilation". (and of course, visit our youtube channel for a high quality version)
Wishing you a very silly Silly Season and we'll see you back in Australia sometime in 2010!

As the following of "Binjoum [PRT005]" release, here's the first LP vinyl release of Proot rec. with sides different enough to expose the multiple faces of Thiaz Itch's work :
A side, new special versions of 5 tracks extracted from the sunshiny "Binjoum" LP(available on Proot records [PRT005] and Bedroom Research [BR022])
B side, a bunch of 4 tracks that could be described as the "best of" those last 5 years of Thiaz Itch : Wan Toutou Megamix (from "Monkey Movies" on Bedroom Research [BR020]) ; and Goto Castricum, Doubidou Bidou, Balls Love Call, exclusive unreleased yet tracks !!!!
