Salem, Massachusetts, 1692: The witch hunts begin. Neighbors are turning on one another. A smallpox epidemic has broken out. People are dying. One man is responsible, a warlock of great power—The Necromancer—and he has just seduced one of Salem’s purest women into a perdition that will haunt her the rest of her life.
Using actual historical events as the backdrop for the fictional story of Reverend Ambrose Blayne and Susanna Harrington, it is a novel of passion, horror, love, and the cruelty which man is capable of. It is a deeply disturbing, often graphic depiction of those brutal and uncertain times.
The novel, while primarily set in Salem, sprawls across Europe from witches being burned at the stake in Scotland to spiritual awakenings in the Roman Amphitheater and depraved Witches' Sabbats in the Harz Mountains of Germany. The series of events culminates in the warlock's summoning of a Lovecraftian demon which threatens to unknit the fabric of the world and an ending that will chill the reader's blood.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE was released this month - and is in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com. I hope you'll check out the book! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten:
“SACRIFICE is not for the timid or weak of heart, it is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend Sacrifice.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
It's 50 years since 'Superman' George Reeves diedJune 13, 2009 "TV's ' Superman' Kills Self," blared the tabloid headlines 50 years ago this week, after actor George Reeves was found shot to death in his Hollywood home in the early hours of June 16, 1959.Reeves played the Man of Steel in "Adventures of Superman," the classic series that ran from 1952 to 1958. By the time the show stopped production, Reeves had become so identified with his dual roles of Superman and Clark Kent that - according to popular belief - he couldn't get work and committed suicide, which is the official cause of death. But there has been speculation that Reeves either died accidentally or was murdered. The 2006 film "Hollywoodland" explores all three possibilities.Unfortunately, Reeves' death obscured many aspects of his life. Born George Keefer Brewer in Woolstock, Iowa, in 1914, Reeves' first big movie role was as Stuart Tarleton in "Gone With the Wind" in 1939. His rise to film stardom was sidetracked by World War II, when he served in the Army Air Corps. Afterward, he appeared mostly in B-movies and early TV dramas. The stage-trained Reeves, who was involved in charitable causes, reportedly had an impish sense of humor and a genuine affection for his young "Superman" fans.Although "Adventures of Superman" isn't currently airing in the New York market, the show's unofficial Web site, "The Adventures Continue" (jimnolt .com), will carry tributes to the man those now-middle-age fans still look up to as the epitome of truth, justice and the American way. Our very dear friends from the UK Scream Arena have been placed into an online competition for their song 'Somewhere'. This song was written from the heart and based on a true event & deserves as many plays as possible.
