About me:
Mission of the Foundation The mission of the KBW Educational Foundation is to stimulate interest and growth in the industry through educational projects. One of the goals of the group is to attract more people into the glass arena by providing scholarships, supplies and books to high schools, colleges and other educational venues. Retailers, studios, artists, manufacturers, publishers, distributors and interested parties can benefit and should get involved with this industry growth movement. Who We Are: The Kay Bain Weiner Glass Art Educational Foundation was developed as a nonprofit (501)(3)(c) organization and comprises a team of glass business owners, publishers, and glass artists who donate their time and resources. What We Do: Offer scholarships yearly to attend various workshops, glass conferences,or seminar groups held in the US. Promote and encourage glass craft classes at public schools, colleges and continuing education facilities, senior citizen centers, YMCAs, and summer camps. KBW Foundation will supply surplus supplies and books donated by manufacturers and publishers to various public schools and educational facilities. The Foundation is creating a national directory of public schools and colleges that teach glass art classes. If you know of the addresses for schools offering classes or that could use glass books in cold and hot techniques, please contact us. Promote various projects such as Teach the Teacher and Artist in Residence.
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone enthusiastic or interested in all forms and techniques of glass art.

Hey u…

We just posted the blog about the Glass Art Society Conference (GAS)… beautiful, interesting, exciting glass-work like…

The Haburger

John Miller & a group of glass workers slammed together a 35 pounds, bacon, cheeseburger …a fat burger patty with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, cheese & bans with sesame seeds… The hamburger was blown & worked using traditional glassblowing techniques.

Come & check it out…
