Journalist Lydia Cacho
has risen to prominence in Mexico, for her
investigations into child abuse
and child pornography rings.
Cacho will be honored in Washington
with an Amnesty International human rights award
for her work on behalf of abused women and children,
and in recognition of the dangers she faces
as a result of her investigative journalism.
