About me:
We are now happily living in Houston, TX and are enjoying the lack of windshield scraping in the winter. We are, instead, growing tomatoes and hot peppers during the winter... We bought our first house and then promptly experienced Hurricane Ike a month later. Luckily, the forty-year-old house survived perfectly. Now that we're homeowners, we'll be settling down in one city for a while...Thank Goodness! Of course, Ryan is already applying for grants in order for us to possibly return to Moldova this summer...and hopefully take a side-trip to Tbilisi, Georgia as well. We were married on the island of St. Thomas on January 10, 2006. Shortly thereafter,(March 27th) I quit my job with the State of Missouri in order to accompany my husband (the next day) halfway around the world to Eastern Europe (Moldova) for a ten month "working honeymoon" as part of a Fulbright research grant. This is what happens when you marry a professional student...yay me! Now we just have to figure out a way to fund some research in Croatia and/or Greece...my new favorite places. My husband, Ryan, received his PhD in Comparative Politics from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) in June.
