A little about me for the newcomers: Brave New World's mission has always been to seek out the new, the brave, the under-rated, the honest and worthy music makers that stir our hearts and often make our feet move as well! From 1992 to 2007, I hosted a radio show on KCRW 89.9 FM in Santa Monica. In that time I enjoyed being an early supporter of David Gray, Pete Yorn, Death Cab For Cutie, Eels, Kinky, and Remy Zero, among others.

In early 2007, KCRW made some line-up changes, so I took a hiatus and then re-launched Brave New World v2.0 on the internet courtesy of HUM Music, a music production company where I head up the Music Supervising department as well.

I post the playlists and notices about new episodes of the radio show here, but if you want to get a monthly e-mail reminder/top ten list outside of myspace, you can sign up for that HUM.

Hey, it's hard for me to manage email through the MySpace page, so please read on for submission policies and such, and if your question is not answered, use this email: bnwtricia (then, you know, the at sign) gmail.com, rather than emailing through MySpace.

I LOVE discovering new music, but find the most productive way to discover is to listen to your submissions via CD rather than reading about your band in emails or listening to music online. I go for volume and try to listen to everything rather than pre-sort by who I know or who sent me e-mail.
2. Silence Is Golden
I PROMISE that I listen to everything you send. In fact, I prioritize listening over answering your emails asking if I've listened to your CD! If you send it I'll listen, if I like it, I'll try to help. It's just impossible to stay in touch with everyone personally. IF I am playing your music, I'd love to be on your mailing list to get info about shows and stuff. Use this email: bnwtricia (at sign) gmail.com, NOT the MySpace page.
3. Don't Spam My Friends
This is a place for fans of Brave New World to gather. Please respect that. It's not a place for you to promote your band. That's what your page is for! If I've added you as a friend, that means you are a fan of the show, it doesn't mean I've listened to your music. If that is your goal, see numbers 1 and 2 above.
