Keala always had a fondness for music. Her parents discovered her musical talent very early and started to support her. Already as a child she learnt to play various instruments and started to sing in a choir project. In the early age of 11 she had some leading parts in children’s musicals and discovered her passion for singing. Therefore she started with a professional vocal training and gained many experience in classical music. During some classical concerts she noticed that she touched people with her voice and her charisma. Due to this Keala decided to strengthen her individual voice and realigned musically. She changed her style of music steering away from classical music leading to pop and soul. In the meantime she works closely with Sascha Kratzer (lead singer and producer of Loopster) on her own songs and the first CD release.

Honestly, music is my first love. It never dissapoints you and you always find the rigth song for the right moment. With music it's possible to express your personality, it's quite precious. My songs deal mainly with interpersonal relationships, vital issues and problems everybody knows. There's nothing better for me than working with a figurative language and significant lyrics.

My song "October" is about a relationship which turns by-and-by into an emotional jail where you don’t have any leeway, which is full of lies and where you feel totally missunderstood. The song points out that a relationship shouldn’t be taken for granted, but also that nobody should forsake oneself for it. You always should have the possibility to be as you are, without bending over backwards for someone. On the one hand it's a quite sad song but on the other hand it is full of decisiveness and self-assurance. And that' me...

Keala hatte schon immer eine Leidenschaft für Musik. Schon recht früh haben ihre Eltern ihr musikalisches Talent entdeckt und gezielt angefangen es zu fördern. Sie lernte schon als Kind unterschiedliche Instrumente zu spielen und begann bei einem Chorprojekt mitzuwirken. Im frühen Altern von knapp 11 Jahren hatte sie ihre erste Hauptrolle in einem Kindermusical und entdeckte ihre Leidenschaft für Gesang. Aufgrund dessen begann sie eine professionelle Gesangsausbildung und sammelte einige Erfahrungen in der klassischen Musik. Bald erkannte sie, dass sie mit ihrer Stimme und ihrer Ausstrahlung Leute begeistern konnte und entschied sich, sich musikalisch weiterzuentwickeln und ihre Stimme weiter auszubauen. Sie änderte ihren Stil weg von der klassischen Musik hin zu Pop und Soul. Mittlerweile arbeitet sie mit Sascha Kratzer (Sänger und Produzent der Band Loopster) an ihren eigenen Songs und der ersten Veröffentlichung.

Musik ist auf alle Fälle "my first love" , sie enttäuscht einen einfach nicht und man findet immer den richtigen Song für den richtigen Moment. Sie ist so etwas wertvolles, mit dem man seine Persönlichkeit auszudrücken kann. Inhaltlich handeln meine Songs von zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen, Lebensfragen und Probleme, die eigentlich jeder kennt oder auch selber einmal erfahren hat. Für mich gibt es nichts besseres, als mit einer bildhaften Sprache und lebhaften Texten zu arbeiten.

In meinem Song "October" geht es um eine Beziehung, die sich im Laufe der Zeit in ein emotionales Gefängnis verwandelt. Ohne Freiraum, voller Lügen und gefühlloser Kälte. Der Song soll darauf aufmerksam machen, dass man eine Beziehung nicht schleifen lassen, sich aber auch nicht voll und ganz dafür aufgeben soll. Man muss stets man selber sein können, ohne sich zu verbiegen. Auf der einen Seite ist es ein sehr trauriger Song, aber auf der anderen Seite zeigt er Entschlossenheit und Selbstbeswusstsein.
