The Councilmen are Keaton York (guitar/lead vox) Taylor Haley (drums)Julian Sanchez (bass/vox) Kyle Appleton (lead guitar/producer). The band formed May 2007. In a short amount of time they have gained they respect of many in the music business. Winning an opportunity to compete in the CBS Early Show Battle of the Bands (See Video), to playing with some really talented musicians, like Trainwreck, The Procession, Last American Buffalo, The Koffin Kats, The Rocketz, The Quakes, BigBang, Larry Bagby, Marc Ford to name a few.
Tammy Caputo, the producer of special events for the CBS Early Show said, “she chooses the videos that appear on the show from thousands of submissions.” Brian keyboard player from LAB describes The Councilmen’s music by saying “I can't help but hear some nirvana influence in some songs, Americana/bluesy material is really great, vocals are profesh and have their own sound, swagger, and a heartfelt quality."Tony from The Rockets says “Your band friggen rocks!! The Councilmen released their first CD July of 2007.
