Born at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and raised in Rockville MD. I started playing music when I bought my first guitar at age 13 after listening to garage bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Sound Garden. I was blown away by the live shows of Green Day and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I kept playing all the way through my four years at Good Counsel High School in Wheaton MD, and then spent a year studying music business in Nashville, TN at Middle Tennessee State University.
I was always making some kind of noise. Whether banging on my desk at school or just singing at the top of my lungs in the car. Creating music was something I could never help. It always crept up on me on like a shadow at dawn. Since then I have been living back in Rockville area playing open mics and gigs at bars and coffee shops through out the DC area. My dream is to live this way everyday. Where ever it takes me.......I hope to see you all in the crowd.
Same to you Keegan. I'm nearly certain our paths will cross again. Keep us updated on what you're up to and we'll do the same. We are excited for the Keegan Corbey tour!
I just started working for a non-profit in DC called Dreams for Kids (www.dreamsforkids.org) that provides adaptive sports for children with disabilities. We are hosting an adaptive water skiing clinic July 18th at Pohick Bay in Lorton VA and need some great musicians to come out and play some live music. Since you fall into this category, I thought you would like to come out and play for a good cause (plus there will be tons of media coverage) If your intrested give me a shout at smiller3185@gmail.com! Keep on Jamin :o)
