Cowboy's Pistol! Shout out to Jurgen Rittiger and Andy Macdonald.
If you could describe our sound, it would be the illegitimate lovechild produced when a moose and a rainbow trout spent a weekend together when their car got stuck in a snowbank.
Music was made by 5 dudes.
One went to Santa Cruz, in California.
One went to the forest in the mountains. He fished and reflected on his life and grew his hair out like Samson.
One went to Arizona. He drove in his car in the dark and smoked cigarettes and made people laugh.
One Went to Colorado, and then back to Spokane. He laughed with big teeth and rode in a sporty canoe down rapids.
One went to Texas and shaved his dreads for the man. He is lonesome and is looking for friends and everybody misses him.
From time to time, the one who went to California puts his new music up on here for nobody in particular to listen to.

"If Damien Rice and Tom Higgenson [from Plain White T’s] threw their vocal genes together, what might come out is something like Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Tyson Motsenbocker. Both captivating and melancholy, the band played songs which stab the heart in that good, freeing way. They made me regret I’d arrived late, only able to hear just a sample of their well-crafted sound." -Spoken Spokane Magazine

"Tyson Motsenbocker gets all the luck. Blessed with a voice that could make the great Northwest forests bend their ears and listen, Motsenbocker and his band "Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful" craft simple gorgeousness. With fellow songwriter Joseph Carlson adding to the lushness, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful's quiet folky strains are paeans to going home again, to keeping a sense of wonder about one's surroundings. They're gentle yet heartbreakingly intense, dousing their audience in a good dose of pure pathos. Plus, bonus points will forever be given to bands who keep banjo and mandolin on hand. That's just the way things are." - Jeff Echert, The Inlander

"Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful was up next, and this was my second time seeing them! I love them! I think they need to open up for Death Cab for Cutie, you guys should work on that with their promoter. I like this Indie Folk boy band because they have this simple pretty sound ... While the singer was tuning his guitar the keyboard player chimed in 'Well after you buy both of Karli [Fairbanks'] CD's and Kaylee [Cole's], I'd say you could buy ours but we ordered 100 and we're sold out.” They must be doing something right! Check these boys out when you can. They are talented and really enjoyable to listen too and watch." -Checkitoutmusic.com

the empyrean coffee house is being forced to install a $20,000 fire sprinkler system or else they will go out of business. In order for this to happen they need all the help they can get, so they are hosting a benefit show this friday and saturday. We are playing at 6:45 on saturday. Every single one of you should come and pay the suggested seven dollars to get in, or buy something, or even better yet both, if you really care about Spokane's music scene. Please come and support the empyrean so that this great venue is not lost forever.
